Junior Achievement of Northern New England at Markley Group

We held an exciting event at Markley earlier this month for a cause that we hold close to our hearts –Junior Achievement of Northern New England.  The mission of this impressive organization is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy.  Using hands-on experiences, Junior Achievement helps to prepare young people for the real world by teaching skills in financial literacy, workforce readiness and entrepreneurship.

Markley Group’s Mark Sullivan, a Board Emeritus Member of Junior Achievement, moderated the session and also gave a tour of our facility.  We welcomed a number of Junior Achievement board members for a lunch & learn and our keynote certainly taught us a lot.

Liz Brunner, formerly of Channel 5 news desk, and now CEO of her own media training and consulting firm, Brunner Communications was the keynote, and  shared many experiences and lessons learned to teach our team more about how she has achieved her own personal accomplishments, leading up to creating her own business. The award-winning news anchor and reporter with more than two-decades of television and public speaking experience provided tips and best practices for corporate speaking, which she also uses to train high-profile individuals and organizations to develop their own personal presentation and leadership skills, and brand image through media training, coaching & consulting.

Our company is proud to support the Junior Achievement of Northern New England, all dedicated to providing mentorship, academic and financial support that empowers youth, and blazes pathways for bright futures.
