    Disaster Planning, Steve Chasen, CEO, Triton Technologies and John Fleming, VP of Operations, Markley Group

    Steve Chasen has over 25 years of management experience in technology firms. Prior to founding Triton he was senior vice president of operations at Mercury Computer Systems. During his 10 years at Mercury, Steve provided leadership to the software development teams, formed the Solutions Systems Group, and chaired the management group responsible for delivering the company’s products and revenue. His previous positions include the array-processing firm Numerix Corporation, where he founded and managed the company’s highest growth business unit.

    John Fleming has been instrumental in implementing and overseeing all aspects of the Markley Group's data center operations with over twenty-seven years of telecommunications experience in the Bell system. This experience includes network operations, construction, installation, maintenance, and service deliveries to business customers. Most recently, Mr. Fleming served as founding Partner and COO of Telemasys USA, a managed services provider, and Managing Director of a division of Morgan Stanley, which developed and operated a worldwide network of Mission Critical Data Centers.

    New England Utility Efficiency Programs, Fran Boucher, National Grid

    Fran Boucher presents dozens of times a year at local and national events on energy efficiency. He is currently a Program Manager for National Grid's Commercial and Industrial Energy Efficiency Group. He manages initiatives focused on efficiency in data centers and laboratories, and is a Certified Energy Manager and a LEED Accredited Professional. He has over 25 years’ experience in Energy Efficiency, Facility Management and Commercial Construction including notable firms, including, Beacon Properties, State Street Bank and Tufts University. For ten years he was the Facility Engineer for State Street Banks data centers. Projects under his direction have recently won a National Grid Chairman’s award plus awards from the Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnership.

    Finding the Right High Capacity Networks for Colocation, Steve McCarthy, NEF

    With over 14 years in the Telecom industry, Steve knows his way around. He has experience at small telecom outfits as well as running a Top 5 sales region for industry giant MCI. As Vice President of Business Development at NEF, Steve is responsible for the strategic growth of the sales organization as well as creating and implementing the marketing initiatives at NEF. With a passion for locating and identifying fiber assets, Steve also steers the development of FiberLocator®, NEF's innovative dark fiber mapping platform. Under Steve's direction, FiberLocator has amassed data for well over 100 network providers and currently maps in excess of 100,000 lit buildings and carrier PoPs. Steve has a Bachelor of Science from Norwich University, Military College of Vermont

    Keynote, John Halamka

    Halamka Keynote John D. Halamka, MD, MS is Chief Information Officer of Harvard Medical School, Chief Information Officer of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Chief Executive Officer of MA-SHARE, Chairman of the New England Health Electronic Data Interchange Network (NEHEN), Chief Information Officer of the Harvard Clinical Research Institute (HCRI), and an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Harvard Medical School. As Chief Executive Officer of MA-SHARE, he oversees the Regional Healthcare Information Organization in Massachusetts which develops clinical exchange applications and policies. As Chairman of NEHEN, he oversees the HIPAA transactions exchanged among the payors and providers in New England As Chief Information Officer of HCRI, he oversees the data management of clinical trials associated with Harvard Medical School.

    High Density Solutions for Existing Mission Critical Environments, Neil Raymond, Consulting Engineering Specialist - Schneider Electric Data Center Solutions

    Neil joined Schneider Electric in 1998, previously serving as a Senior Enterprise Systems Engineer in New England prior to taking on his current role as the New England Consulting Engineering Specialist. Neil has served in a number of capacities in the Mission Critical industry for nearly 13 years, including Post Sales Technical/Application Support as well as System Engineering Support for customers in all verticals. Neil has been asked to present as a Schneider Electric Data Center Specialist to Enterprise Clients, Channel Partners and at Engineering Community Events as well as at industry activities such as local AFCOM Meetings. Neil is a graduate of Bryant University in Smithfield, RI.

    A Primer on Cloud Storage, Object Storage, and High Capacity File Systems, Jacob Farmer, Cambridge Computers

    Jacob Farmer is an industry-recognized expert on storage networking and data protection technologies. He has authored numerous papers and is a regular speaker at major industry events such as Storage Networking World, VMWorld, Interop, and the Usenix conferences. Jacob’s no-nonsense, fast paced presentation style has won him many accolades. Jacob is a regular lecturer at many of the nation’s leading colleges and universities. Of recent he has given invited talks at institutions such as Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Carnegie Mellon, Duke, Harvard, and Yale. Inside the data storage industry, Jacob is best known for having authored best practices for designing and optimizing enterprise backup systems and for his expertise in the marketplace for emerging storage networking technologies. He has served on the advisory boards of many of the most successful storage technology startups, and is well respected in the analyst community. Jacob is a graduate of Yale University.
