Develops and Operates Mission Critical Facilities

Neutral Colocation Facilities

The colocation facility at One Summer Street in Boston is truly carrier neutral and offers more diverse connectivity than any other facility in New England.

Colocating companies may choose from any of the more than 40 domestic and international carriers who provide IP transit and voice services either through lit circuits or through the provisioning of dark fiber. True network redundancy is easily achieved. By offering clients the ability to choose and connect to any fiber network provider that has space in the Building, tenants receive the best possible transit costs due to competition for their transit business.

Cross Connect Room

One Summer Street is the only true Carrier Hotel located in the New England region. Markley Group offers the carriers up to eight separate points of entry on three different sides of the building for ultimate diversity. This is the facility where carriers have located their switches and PoP's to connect to one another.

Markley Group offers the carriers up to eight separate points of entry on three different sides of the building for ultimate diversity.

The Cross Connect Room (CCR) is a professionally managed interconnection facility. This secure room allows carriers to hand off fiber, coax and copper to the CCR where the various cables are terminated, identified, assigned locations and reported back to the carriers to update their records. These port and panel locations can then be used for LOA/CFA and work order requests.

Carrier to carrier connectivity is coordinated through electronic work orders directed to the Markley Group Operations Team. The facility is staffed with Bell trained, DOD certified techs that work directly for Markley Group. The CCR Techs complete all steps of the connection process and turn over the order to Operations for customer notification, posting, and billing purposes.

Direct Connectivity

Markley Group recognizes the importance of bandwidth with nine data/colocation centers on-line at its One Summer Street location. In addition to the infrastructure that supports these centers, Markley Group offers direct connection to the carriers. This business model is unique as many other data centers sell bandwidth as a profit center requiring their customers to utilize their bandwidth; at One Summer Street there is no additional cost to our clients.

As a result of the 40+ carriers in One Summer Street, the carriers provide extremely competitive prices to capture business. This keeps the number of options high and prices low for all data enterprise tenants. In order to facilitate this process, most carriers have assigned dedicated sales reps to the One Summer Street opportunities. As always, Markley Group Management is available to help clients through this process.
