Mr. Markley has overseen the purchase and development of thirteen data center and telecommunications buildings in Europe and North America, valued at over $1 billion and totaling over 3M sq. ft.

Throughout his career, Mr. Markley has completed more than 500 real estate transactions for major national and international mission critical clients, appeared in more than 50 major publications, and has been cited many times in the Wall Street Journal as the leading real estate developer in the telecommunications and data center industries.

Mr. Markley graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in business from the University of Georgia.

Mr. Cutchins has represented Markley Group and its affiliated entities since 2001. Prior to joining Markley Group, Mr. Cutchins completed his undergraduate education at Georgetown University and obtained his juris doctorate degree from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC with visiting credentials at the University of Southern California. Mr. Cutchins launched a successful legal career in finance, real estate and business litigation under Pierce O’Donnell at the law firm of O’Donnell & Shaeffer in Los Angeles, California. There, his exceptional business and legal intellect and writing skills were repeatedly recognized both in legal circles and in the legal decisions he influenced. Since joining Markley Group, Mr. Cutchins’ representation has helped guide the company through substantial growth, hundreds of new leasing and licensing transactions and numerous financing transactions. He currently serves on the company’s management committee as Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer.

Mr. Flanagan joined Markley Group in 1997 and has been essential in the continuing growth and development as Executive Vice President, with involvement in all aspects of the business. Mr. Flanagan has significant mission critical development experience, having constructed and managed approximately one million square feet of mission critical space. He has also acted as Director of Leasing for two commercial portfolios consisting of more than 12 million square feet of real estate and was instrumental in creating a leasing and management company for a 15-property portfolio located in New York. In 1998, he negotiated the largest leasing transaction in Manhattan and three of the 50 largest transactions.

Marlon K. Pearson

Mr. Pearson joined the Markley Group in 1999 and has recently been positioned as Chief Financial Officer with key responsibilities of financial reporting, management, taxation, and strategic planning. Mr. Pearson is a CPA and has more than 30 years of public accounting experience with such prestigious firms as Arthur Andersen & Co. Prior to Markley Group. Mr. Pearson served as Controller and Operations Manager for two large, privately held business conglomerates. He has been a business partner of Mr. Markley in several successful business ventures.

William McLean

Mr. McLean is an accomplished senior telecommunications professional with over 40 years’ experience in construction, project management, operations, and engineering in both the regulated and non-regulated telecommunications field. His unique experience covers all phases of fiber optics including project management, inside/outside plant construction, transmission equipment, and disaster recovery. Prior to joining Markley, Mr. McLean served as the Regional Project Manager at General Dynamics. During this time he managed several base upgrades for inside/outside plant for all Navy and Marine Corp within the Unites States, making this one of the largest infrastructure projects for the Department of Defense.

As Markley’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Patrick is responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of the company's state-of-the-art technology, while also working to ensure that Markley consistently remains a leading-edge data center and cloud operator. Patrick draws upon considerable industry experience to develop strategic plans for new product and service offerings and plays a key role in Markley’s expansion to additional locations, helping to extend the company’s reach and enhance business continuity for its customers.

 

Prior to Markley, Patrick spent over a decade as Akamai Technologies' Chief Network Architect. At Akamai, Patrick’s group was responsible for managing peering and capacity for the world’s largest CDN – one that served approximately 30 percent of all traffic on the Internet. Patrick served as chief architect at several national and international backbone providers before working at Akamai. He is currently a board member of the Seattle Internet Exchange (SIX) and a former board member of the London Internet Exchange (LINX), two of the largest Internet exchanges in the world. He also serves on the boards of the American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN), the North American Network Operators’ Group (NANOG) and the PeeringDB.

Jack brings over 22 years of experience working in critical facilities and data center environments. He has managed twelve (12) Tier 4 data center engineering teams and has also been involved in the construction, commissioning, and staffing of eight (8) colocation facilities nationwide. Jack’s innovation in his previous company lead him to conceive and implement a Six Sigma Green Belt Project which resulted in $2.9MM in savings between 3 large west coast data centers.

Robert Sass

Mr. Sass has over 30 years of industry experience in real estate investment, finance, accounting and taxation with an emphasis in the real estate capital markets. He joined The Markley Group in 2010 after 23 years with Colliers International (formerly Williams Real Estate Co.), where he executed complex real estate acquisition, sales and financing transactions. Mr. Sass became a CPA in 1980 as a Senior Accountant specializing in real estate with Deloitte, Haskins and Sells and subsequently served as CFO, Asset Manager and Acquisitions Officer for large privately-held real estate firms. Mr. Sass received a BS degree in Accounting from the School of Management at Binghamton University. He is also a licensed real estate broker.

Mr. Fleming has been instrumental in implementing and overseeing all aspects of the Markley Group’s data center operations with over 27 years of telecommunications experience in the Bell system. This experience includes network operations, construction, installation, maintenance, and service deliveries to business customers. Most recently, Mr. Fleming served as founding Partner and COO of Telemasys USA, a managed services provider, and Managing Director of a division of Morgan Stanley, which developed and operated a worldwide network of Mission Critical Data Centers.
